Visualizer Features

This floating meter brings real-time visual feedback to your mastering workflow. Here's what each element does:

๐Ÿ“Š

Realโ€‘Time Spectrum Analyzer

The colorful bar graph shows the frequency spectrum of your audio in real time. Lower frequencies (bass) are on the left, moving to higher frequencies (treble) on the right. The background is divided into 7 bold colorโ€‘coded frequency zones to help you quickly identify ranges: Subโ€‘Bass (20โ€‘60 Hz), Bass (60โ€‘250 Hz), Low Mids (250โ€‘500 Hz), Midrange (500โ€‘2 kHz), Upper Mids (2โ€‘4 kHz), Presence (4โ€‘6 kHz), and Brilliance (6โ€‘20 kHz). The zones now have enhanced opacity for better visibility against the dark background. The bars dance and change shape instantly as you adjust EQ sliders, apply the clipper, or toggle Mid/Side processing. The bright dots that linger at the top of each bar are peak hold indicators, showing the recent maximum level for that frequency.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Peak Level Meter (dBFS)

On the right side of the visualizer, you'll find a dBFS peak meter. It displays the current peak loudness and changes color to warn you: cyan for safe levels (โ‰ค -2.0 dBFS), gold for hot signals (-1.5 to -0.3 dBFS), and magenta/pink when you're dangerously close to clipping (-0.3 to 0.0 dBFS). The marker lines on the right show the -2.0, -1.5, -0.3, and 0.0 thresholds at a glance. This helps you avoid distortion as you push for loudness. The meter uses smooth release so you can easily see the recent peak history.

๐Ÿ”Š

LUFS Loudness Meter

The bar on the left shows LUFS (Loudness Units Full Scale) โ€“ a standard for measuring perceived loudness. It uses RMSโ€‘based metering with a smooth ballistics response, giving you a stable readout of your track's overall loudness. The bar changes color to guide your loudness decisions: green for quiet/safe levels (โ‰ค -12 LUFS), cyan for moderate loudness (-12 to -10 LUFS), pink for hot levels (-10 to -8 LUFS), and red for extremely loud ( > -8 LUFS). Aim for -14 LUFS for streaming, -12 to -10 LUFS for a competitive pop/hipโ€‘hop sound, and -8 LUFS for club/EDM. The displayed value updates every 3 seconds for easy reading.

ใ€ฐ๏ธ

Waveform Display

A subtle white waveform line at the bottom of the visualizer gives you a classic oscilloscope view, showing the overall volume dynamics of your track in real time.

โ—€โ–ถ

Smart Expand / Collapse

The visualizer starts collapsed so it doesn't get in the way. Click the arrow button (โ—€โ–ถ) to expand it. The meter will automatically expand whenever you play the preview, so you always see your adjustments. When collapsed, the page has more room for scrolling.

Use these visual cues to dial in the perfect sound โ€” watch the bars, check the peak meter, monitor LUFS for loudness consistency, and keep an eye on the waveform as you tweak.

Preโ€‘Upload Guide โ€“ Read Before Mastering

  • Mix Flaw Amplification: My online mastering cannot fix fundamentally bad mixes. Please ensure your mix is clean, balanced and doesn't have a limiter applied to the final buss or master output before uploading!!
  • Headroom Requirement: Leave a good amount -3dB to -9dB of headroom on your final rendered mix. If your file is already clipping or heavily limited, the online mastering clipper and two final limiters will distort or squash the audio, so please set your headroom accordingly.
  • Accepted Formats: Lossless WAV files (16-bit or 24-bit, 44.1kHz or 48kHz) yield the best results. You may also upload MP3, FLAC, OGG files, but not recommended!
  • Reference Track (Optional): Upload a reference song to match its EQ profile and loudness characteristics for a competitive sound.
  • Preview First: You can preview a 30-second portion of your mastered track before downloading.
  • Redo Preview: You can always redo a new preset, make EQ/Clipper adjustments, and preview another 30-second portion of your new mastered track before downloading.
  • Master Upload Limits: I felt no need to restrict the number of uploads to the online mastering tool, so go ahead and use it for albums, ep, singles, or whatever.
  • Cool Tip: Use other preset genres that are not based on your song/track; you can really get good results just by tweaking a dB up or down.

๐ŸŽš๏ธ How To Use The Mastering Features

This tool turns track uploading into an interactive soundโ€‘sculpting process, with an EQ, Mid/Side, Clipping, and Oversampling sections and a loop toggle button. Here's how it works:

  • ๐ŸŽš๏ธ Fineโ€‘Tune EQ, Mid/Side, Clipping and Oversampling Processing: The 3โ€‘band EQ (Low Shelf, Mid Peak, High Shelf) and Mid/Side EQ (with Bell/Shelf type toggles) let you shape the tone. All gain ranges are safely clamped to ยฑ3.5 dB to prevent distortion.
  • ๐Ÿ” Preview Loop Switch: The new Loop toggle (ON/OFF) in the EQ section allows the 30โ€‘second preview to repeat continuously. When ON, the audio loops seamlessly while you adjust any EQ slider or Mid/Side parameter in real time. When OFF, it plays once.
  • โš ๏ธ The Clipper: Use wisely; extremely useful for adding punch and volume, clipping too hard can introduce unwanted digital distortion (aliasing). New oversampling feature from (2X, 4X, 8X) to give you the cleanest sound from the space-aged clipper.
  • โš™๏ธ Remaster on Demand: After tweaking the EQ, Mid/Side, and Clipper settings, click the "Remaster with New EQ" button. The engine reโ€‘processes the entire track with your updated parameters, generates a fresh 30โ€‘second preview, and respects the current Loop state.
  • ๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Preset + Manual Control: Start with a genre preset (Hipโ€‘Hop, Reggaeton, EDM, etc.), then use some or all the sliders to fineโ€‘tune. The "Reset to Preset Defaults" button reverts all the settings back to the preset's original values.
